(Punjab, Pakistan)—It's no secret to Believers that large numbers are not necessarily impressive to God, but that He seems to smile on the efforts of the faithful in heart, even those of lesser numbers.

Small beginnings have not hindered a Christian orphanage in Pakistan from bringing much needed help to children who otherwise would have no home. And now, by God's grace, the Jesus My Shelter orphanage (JMS) has been able to accept four more children, while moving into a newly rented house.

Children of JMS orphanageAccording to their website, JMS is located in the sub division of Toba Tek Singh, in central Punjab, Pakistan. They have been in operation for five years.

Saqib Yaqub, one of the workers at the JMS orphanage notes their focus:

"Jesus My Shelter Orphanage is compassionately taking care of 10 orphan kids, enrolling 6 girls and 4 boys. We are providing these children with shelter, food and nutrition, education, medical care, life skill trainings and much more. We are strategically focused to transform these orphaned lives to a better future," says Yaqub.

He also mentioned some of the needs JMS has, as they are settled into their new facility.

"We need some household and other necessary supplies, such as a refrigerator, generator, TV and DVD player, tables and chairs, keyboard (musical instrument) and a vehicle for transport of the children and other activities of organization. This vehicle will also work as a taxi to generate income for the orphanage," Yaqub explained.
