"I think that Jesus Christ offers Tiger Woods something that Tiger Woods badly needs."
(Washington, DC)—Just in case you missed it, the senior political analyst for FOX News, Brit Hume, did something this past Sunday that you rarely hear in mainstream news today—he spoke the truth in love.
The discussion was regarding Tiger Woods, and how—since the revelations of his multiple affairs have surfaced—he's lost his family, his reputation has plummeted and his character has taken a huge hit.

Said Mr. Hume, "…[Tiger is] said to be a Buddhist, I don't think that that religion offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith. So, my message to Tiger would be, 'Tiger, turn to the Christian faith, and you can make a total recovery and be a great example to the world.'"
Since his remarks on FOX News Sunday, Hume has received a plethora of feedback, some praising his honest statement and other comments rebuking him for "belittling Buddhism."
Since there has been so much response, fellow FOX News personality, Bill O'Reilly recently gave Hume an opportunity to explain his stance and to reiterate his advice to the troubled iconic golfer on the O'Reilly Factor.
"Look, Tiger Woods is somebody I've always rooted for as a golfer and as a man," said Brit. "…Now we know that the content of his character is not what we thought it was. He is paying a frightful price for these revelations… he needs something that Christianity especially provides and that is redemption and forgiveness. I think that Jesus Christ offers Tiger Woods something that Tiger Woods badly needs."
O'Reilly questioned Hume further on the controversy of his remarks, to which Hume noted that the name of Jesus Christ always seems to bring debate, and that it's even mentioned in the Bible that offenses will come because of His name.
