Dr. Billy Graham, a guest on CNN’s Larry King Live show on Saturday, April 2nd, spoke about the life of Pope John Paul II saying he “was the most influential voice for morality and peace in the world in the last 100 years.”

In this partial transcript of Larry’s show, provided by Assist News, Dr. Graham shared his feelings on the passing of the pontiff earlier that day. “I have a very strange feeling of loss,” he said, “I almost feel as though one of my family members has gone. I loved him very much and had the opportunity of discussing so many things with him. And we wrote each other several times during the years."

MinistryWhen asked by King if Dr. Graham thought the Pope was with God now, Graham replied, “I think he's with the Lord, because he believed. He believed in the Cross. That was his focus throughout his ministry, the Cross, no matter if you were talking to him from personal issues or an ethical problem, he felt that there was the answer to all of our problems -- the cross and the resurrection. And he was a strong believer.”

King also interviewed actor Jim Caviezel on the first time he met Pope John Paul II, “When I walked in the room,” says Caviezel,”There he was…he looked at me…’Jim Caviezel, [do] not be afraid. Do not be satisfied with mediocrity. Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.’”
