STATEMENT OF CHAIRMAN MIKE ENZI, R-WY, REGARDING TERRI SCHIAVO

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, R-WY, Chairman of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee (HELP Committee), today made available the following statement:

“As we mark the passing of Terri Schiavo our hearts continue to go out to her family and to all those who knew and loved her. I hope they find some comfort in the knowledge that she is with God.

“In the days to come I hope we as a nation will continue the dialogue we have begun on the issues that surround the care and treatment of incapacitated persons and make our own wishes clearly known in advance.”
