"If we can drop a ball in Times Square for the New Year, then we can kneel there and pray in the Presence of God..."
(New York, NY)—This Sunday, July 8th, Times Square in New York City will be filled—not with New Year's revelers—but with those who have come to worship the Lord and pray for revival in the world.
This will be the 7th annual Times Square Sunday international prayer gathering, founded and sponsored by New Greater Bethel Ministries (NGBM).
Helene Oord is a liaison between NGBM and the Christian Cultural Society, a prayer group which meets at the United Nations to pray for world leaders and their countries. Concerning the upcoming Times Square Sunday, Oord noted, "This is the first year that all the cultures (represented at the UN) are participating with the others who come to pray. People from the UN will be praying in French, Dutch, Spanish, and many other languages."
Elder John Boyd, of NGBM, added, "If we can drop a ball in Times Square for the New Year, then we can kneel there and pray in the Presence of God. It's a testimony that we're not ashamed of the Gospel...we're excited that something awesome will happen!"
The starting time for the Times Square gathering is 3pm until about 8pm, on Broadway between 43rd and 44th Streets, in New York City, NY, this Sunday, July 8th.
All are invited to come and pray and worship, filling New York City with the Presence of God!
