In his syndicated column, Rev. Billy Graham is asked how he would respond to someone who “sincerely believes his church is the only right one and all others are wrong.” Dr. Graham’s wise answer is not to argue since it seldom does any good, and “a gentle answer turns away wrath…”-Proverbs 15:1
He goes on to say that salvation is not through any one church, but through Jesus Christ and His atonement alone. “Churches are important, and we need the fellowship and teaching they provide,” says Dr. Graham, “But no church is perfect, and Christ alone is our Savior. The Bible is clear: ‘Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved’” (Acts 4:12).
