[Faithwire.com] Doctors in Hays County, TX, have been left absolutely astounded after a young girl suffering from an inoperable brain tumor was inexplicably healed. In June, 11-year-old Roxli Doss was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer known as Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma or "DIPG." (Screengrab image: via KVUE/USA Today/YouTube)

DIPG is a type of brain tumor that typically grows close to the brain stem. As such, it is notoriously difficult to operate on, and rarely responds to conventional treatment. "It is very rare, but when we see it, it is a devastating disease," said Dr. Virginia Harrod with Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, Texas, according to USA Today. "You have decreased ability to swallow, sometimes vision loss, decreased ability to talk, eventually difficulty with breathing."

Though the illness is incurable, Doss and her devoted family was determined to do everything they possibly could in order to give the young girl more time on earth. They began a brutal regime of treatment, including radiotherapy. The family wielded another weapon against this ghastly illness—prayer. After setting up a fundraiser and holding a benefit in August, the community rallied behind Roxli in prayer and kindness.

Gena and Scott Doss knew there was nothing more they could do—they had to simply fall to their knees and plead with God for a miracle.

And we got it," Gena declared. "Praise God we did," Scott added. Staggeringly, when Roxli went for a routine assessment to determine the growth rate of her tumor, the doctors were unable to detect the mass on an MRI scan. (Screengrab image: via KVUE/USA Today/YouTube)

The Brain Tumor Charity calls DIPG a "high-grade brain tumor" which tends to "grow quickly" and is more likely to spread to other parts of the brain or spinal cord." But for Roxli, none of this occurred. "When I first saw Roxli's MRI scan, it was actually unbelievable," Harrod said. "The tumor is undetectable on the MRI scan, which is really unusual"...
