President Trump and First Lady Melania Honor President Bush at the Rotunda in a Very Respectful Way

The visit was completely unannounced and quiet.

As former President George HW Bush lies in State in the Capitol Rotunda, President Trump and First Lady Melania paid a visit on Monday, in a way that even the rabid media will have trouble spinning negatively. With zero fanfare, President Trump and Melania, both dressed in black, quietly entered the Rotunda and walked over to Bush's casket.

After a few moments of solemn reflection or prayer, the President saluted his predecessor, as Melania placed her hand on her heart. And then the First Couple turned and exited as silently as they came.

It was a respectful and tasteful honoring of the 41st president, and his family.
