Massive Crowd Spontaneously Sings "Amazing Grace" after President Trump Pauses 8 MINUTES of Speech for Fainting Woman at Rally

"Say a little prayer. That's good. Say a little prayer." -President Donald J. Trump

(Cape Girardeau, MO) In my entire life, I've never seen a campaign rally like President Trump's in Cape Girardeau last night. Shortly after taking the podium, the President paused. Staring at someone, or something, in the crowd, his face grew serious. At first, it seemed as though he might be focusing on a disruption—protesters, perhaps—but a moment later he asked, "Is there a doctor in the house?" (Screengrab: President Trump waits/via C-SPAN)

Typically, politicians would let security and EMT's do their job and get right back to their speech. Not President Trump. He stepped away from the mic and somberly continued to watch in silence with genuine concern and respect for nearly 10 minutes. Several times, he encouraged the doctor.

"Take your time," he said. "We have plenty of time, right? Don't rush." Referring to the woman being treated, he added, "This is one of our great people."

At one point, the President said, "Say a little prayer." As the crowd bowed their heads and began praying, he nodded for them to continue. "That's good. Say a little prayer." (Screengrab: Woman who needed medical attention /via C-SPAN)

Then, following a moment of silent prayer, someone began singing and soon the entire arena was filled with the refrains of "Amazing Grace."

Wow.

It was absolutely profound to see a President of the United States—capping off a high-stakes political day in which he had appeared in three different American cities—that concerned with the well-being of a single attendee at a rally. And it was beyond encouraging to watch fellow Americans pray and sing publicly in response to a person's need. Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here
