Kodey Howard and Tanner Jacobson were in a Lewis County courtroom Tuesday before Judge R.W. Buzzard when they decided to make a run for it. Then, to everyone's surprise, Judge Buzzard quickly threw his robe off and chased them himself! Sprinting through the courtroom and nipping at the heels of the criminals, the agile lawman left attorneys stunned as he bolted through the courthouse hallways.

Hilariously, and probably after sneaking a glance over his shoulder and seeing the long arm of the law hounding him down, Howard lost his footing and face-planted before he could reach freedom. He was quickly apprehended by Judge Buzzard by means of a "bear hug," administered not far from the exit door.
