India's 'Untouchables' Experience Spiritual Awakening, Mass Conversions

Exciting things are happening in India. Mass conversions are sweeping the northern province of Punjab near the Pakistan border, affecting the poorest of the poor and the lowest of the low in India's supposedly defunct caste system. Joseph D'Souza, president of the All India Christian Council (AICC), told Charisma magazine that Truckloads of people are turning up at public meetings, where preachers are seeing miracles taking place.

"The pastors I sent tell me that people asked them to pray, and they prayed and miracles happened - mostly healings," D'Souza said. "It's amazing. Even patients given up by doctors get healed."
