Christian Bahena Rivera, a 24-year-old illegal immigrant who has lived in and around Poweshiek County for the past four to seven years, was apprehended and has been charged with first-degree murder, said Rick Rahn, special agent in charge at the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, in an official statement read during a press conference Tuesdayevening.

So far, Rahn told reporters, Rivera has been cooperative.
