"I'm Praying for You": Chris Pratt Stuns Cancer-Stricken Kids With Epic Surprise

(Vacaville, CA)—[Faithwire.com] "Jurassic World" star Chris Pratt has once again hit the headlines for all the right reasons. The actor, who gave an incredible speech after receiving the MTV "Generation Award," made a surprise appearance Saturday at a California movie theater that was hosting an event with the goal of raising money for children with cancer. Pratt, 39, attended the fundraiser at the Vacaville Brenden Theater, which was raising money for the children of law enforcement officers who have been battling the awful disease. Funds were raised through people purchasing tickets to a "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" screening.

"We were so excited to be a part of a remarkable event to combine a charitable auction with entertainment that no one really saw coming," the police department posted to Facebook.

"Little did anyone know that the star of the movie Chris Pratt would surprise everyone and show up to participate with the charity auction and even stay to watch the movie! The room was filled with both shock and laughter for the entire event," the post read. "Most importantly, those who truly needed this fun day got some time to enjoy the festivities alongside their families."

As it turns out, Pratt's brother "Cully" is a police officer with Solano County Sheriff's Department—so he hooked up the meet and greet that those in attendance are unlikely to ever forget.

"Deputy Pratt happens to be Chris Pratt's brother, and for sure has some awesome connections!" the department added. "And a special thanks to Chris Pratt for stopping by our wonderful town and putting a smile on all of our faces today!"
