Photos that Speak Louder than Words: President Trump Honors Fallen NYPD Officer, While Holding Her Elderly Mother's Hand in Touching Tribute

These photos reveal the great heart President Trump has for America's police force and their families.

(Washington, DC)—[IJR.com] President Trump spoke at the National Peace Officers' Memorial Service this past Tuesday in Washington, DC, giving mention to heroes who had given their lives in the line of duty. (Screengrab via WhiteHouse.gov)

Toward the end of his speech, the president spontaneously brought onstage the family of NYPD Detective Miosotis Familia, who was ambushed, shot and killed in her patrol car last July by a 'cop-hating madman,' according to the NY Post report.

As President Trump welcomed Familia's family onto the podium, he gave special attention to her elderly mother, Adrianna Valoy, holding onto her hand even as he finished his speech.

The family was obviously moved by the president's stirring accolade, especially Adrianna, as the photos plainly show.
