His illness comes at a very stressful time as he is under police investigation by his opponents and is preparing for the American embassy move.

After a series of tests, doctors determined he had not sufficiently recuperated from an illness two weeks ago due to lack of rest.
Netanyahu was in good spirits as he bid goodnight to reporters at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, saying, "Thank you all for your concern! I'm sure a little rest and hot soup will solve everything."
Perhaps he was referring to Jewish penicillin, also known as chicken soup. There are actually studies that confirm its medicinal properties as an anti-inflammatory that helps relieve nasal congestion.
Dr. Zvi Berkowitz, Netanyahu's personal physician, accompanied him to the hospital where he underwent a series of tests to diagnose the fever and cough. He said Netanyahu didn't fully recover because he didn't take the time needed to recuperate.
