Second lady Karen Pence was there too. She led a prayer outside a Rockport church where survivors later broke out singing God Bless America.

“We’re going to stay with you every step until we bring southeast Texas back bigger and better than ever before,” Pence said to the crowd that had gathered at a church blown wide open from the storm.
