“This definitely reshaped my perspective. Republican, Democrat, liberal are all subcategories to what we are experiencing. It instills a lot of hope.” — Rosalyn Harris.

Would there be a recovery of optimism in America—however small a flicker? I think perhaps.
It’s with that hope that I’m happy to feature a beautiful story about a waitress named Rosalynd Harris, and the group of Trump supporters whom she served at her workplace, the Busboys and Poets restaurant, this past Monday morning.
Both Rosalynd and the people at her table were excited from what had taken place over the weekend—but the events they had attended differed greatly, to say the least.
According to TheBlaze report, the trio of men sporting cowboy and “Make America Great Again” hats at Rosalynd’s table were obviously not from DC, and as she chatted with them she discovered they were from Texas. They had come to see Donald J. Trump inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States.
"It was an interesting situation,” explained Rosalynd to WUSA 9, “because it is a Liberal, Democratic kind of feel to the entire Busboys establishment, the people that come in, the people it attracts.” (Photo Credit: WUSA9.com)
One of the men she was serving, Jason White, told Rosalynd that he’d “never experienced that kind of atmosphere before,” said the report.
But the waitress was likely also out of her comfort zone, having taken part in the big Women’s March just a couple days before, and now finding herself serving three Trump supporters from the Lone Star State.
According to Jason, though, they all “really hit it off” he said in a video report from WUSA 9.
And he seized the moment to make an impression on the congenial waitress, in a way she probably will never forget.
He left her a $450.00 tip for their $72 meal. It was money Rosalynd could really use. ($450 a reference to the 45th President)
But that’s not even the best part.
It was the note he left Rosalynd that really warms the heart.
On his ticket, along with the tip-blessing, Jason wrote the following:
“We may come from different cultures, and we may disagree on certain issues, but if everyone would share their smile and kindness like your beautiful smile, our country will come together as one people, not race, not gender, just American. God bless."
Rosalyn later told the Washington Post, “This definitely reshaped my perspective. Republican, Democrat, liberal are all subcategories to what we are experiencing. It instills a lot of hope.”
