"It didn't matter what the song was. It was the spirit behind the song. We know that that was the Holy Spirit. I had nothing to do with that." – G. Star Swain

(Tallahassee, FL) — [CBN News] Just in time for Independence Day, a women's spontaneous rendition of the national anthem has gone viral. G. Star Swain, the woman singing in the video, believes the reason it touched so many people had nothing to do with her, but it was "The Holy Spirit." (Screengrab via CBN News)

"It didn't matter what the song was. It was the spirit behind the song. We know that that was the Holy Spirit. I had nothing to do with that," she told CBN News' Efrem Graham in an interview via Skype on Thursday.

The video of Swain singing the national anthem earlier this month at Lincoln Memorial has gotten more than 30 million views.

She added, "It is the anointing that destroys the yokes. Hands down. And I try to teach the praise and worship team at my church that when we're working together. It's the Holy Spirit that will always make the difference. Your gift is a gift that can sound as beautiful as it wants to but if there is no anointing - no yokes will be destroyed."

Swain lives in Tallahassee, Fla. and stays busy. She records videos for her YouTube channel , serving as the praise and worship leader at her church. She is also an Assistant Principal at a local school. She says singing is something that is at the heart of who she is.

"This is not something new for me. This has been a dream and a passion of mine for a long time," she said.
