Massive Ancient Burial Ground Found Near Bethlehem

The graves discovered fall into the timeline of Jacob and Rachel and other famous Old Testament figures.

The site is called Khalet al-Jam'a. 

Said Professor Lorenzo Nigro of Sapienza University in Rome: "Typical pieces of the burial sets are finely executed carinated bowls, small shouldered jars/bowls with everted rim[s], one-spouted lamp, huge and well-refined Canaanite jars with two or four handles, as well as bronze daggers and spearheads." 

For some unknown reason, the necropolis stopped being used around 650 B.C. before mysteriously "reappearing" around the time of Christ."
