Trump Clobbers Rivals in Nevada; Rubio Wins Second Place

"We love Nevada, we love Nevada," Trump told supporters Tuesday night.

The easy win came from a combination of love for Trump and anger at the Republican establishment and Washington.

"Of course, if you listen to the pundits we weren't expected to win too much and now we're winning, winning the country," Trump said.

The win in the Silver State puts the billionaire far ahead of his opponents, as he claimed nearly 46 percent of the vote.

An important factor in Trump's win? According to CNN, entrance polls showed he was winning among Latino GOP caucus goers—despite his campaign's hard line on immigration.

The Republican candidates are now turning their attention to Super Tuesday on March 1, when more than a dozen mostly southern states from Texas to Virginia could give some of the leading candidates a big boost.

On the other side, the Democrats are focused on South Carolina which holds its Democratic primary Saturday.

Frontrunner Hillary Clinton and rival Bernie Sanders appeared at a CNN town hall in the Palmetto State Tuesday night. The focus there was on African-Americans, who make up half of the state's electorate.

"We must sustain and strengthen the historically black colleges and universities," Sanders said.

"Racism, along with economic issues, educational issues, and all the rest, have to be addressed," Clinton said.

Clinton is campaigning in South Carolina on Wednesday, while Sanders heads to Missouri.

Meanwhile, the Republicans take part in a voter summit hosted by Fox News' Megyn Kelly, an anchor Trump has had some rough relations with in this campaign season.

Trump declined the event and will instead be appearing at the Feb. 24 Regent University Presidential Candidate Forums.
