Several hundred people gathered to hear speeches at the event, while a Kansas House committee heard from Washington state florist Barronnelle Stutzman, who was sued for refusing to provide flowers for a same-sex wedding.

Ryan Anderson, of the Heritage Foundation, told the crowd that the federal government has infringed on religious freedom by threatening to remove accreditation for faith-based schools that oppose same-sex marriage.
