According to a report from Fox News, Goldberg and guest-host Sunny Hostin were discussing Jada Pinkett-Smith's boycott of the 2016 Academy Awards due to a lack of diversity when Cameron-Bure joked that she was not part of the debate.
"Hi, Joy. How are you?" she said, turning to co-host Joy Behar.
"Well you know what, I talk about God, you gotta talk about these d*** movies," Goldberg quipped in response.
"I get it," Cameron-Bure responded.
However, after a commercial break, the "Fuller House" actress was noticeably missing from the set. Goldberg explained that Cameron- Bure "hasn't been feeling well for the past couple hours" and said all the co-hosts and guests believed it would be better "for her to get some rest."
"She didn't want you to think she just walked off and wasn't having it, she just really wasn't feeling well," she added.
Cameron-Bure later confirmed Goldberg's claims, tweeting to her fans that she was sick, and that her departure had no connection to the lack of diversity among Oscar nominees.
However, a number of viewers didn't buy the explanation, expressing disappointment over Goldberg's mockery of Cameron Bure's Christian faith.
