Youth Gathering "Passion 2016" Trends on Twitter: "Jesus Generation United for His Fame"

Since the first day, the event, "#Passion2016" began trending on Twitter. With the theme "The Jesus Generation United for His Fame," Passion 2016 featured Louie Giglio, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Christy Nockels, Kristian Stanfill, and Brett Younker, with special guests John Piper, Christine Caine, Ravi Zacharias, Hillsong United and Rend Collective. This year's conference was held on Jan. 2-4.

In the opening session, Passion Conferences founder Louie Giglio delivered the first message, with Grammy winner Matt Redman leading the praise and worship. Without wasting any time, Giglio launched the new year for the mostly 18-25-year-olds gathered at the stadiums.

"The invitation for everyone is to come and see what God has done. We will see that Jesus is alive. He is risen," tweeted Ravi Zacharias. "Resurrection is the most investigated event in history. Instead of unraveling it, most un-ravelers end up putting faith in Jesus."

"We come & understand that possibility of personal relationship with God is now a reality for every single person," said Giglio, who has led Passion Conferences since 1997 in reaching demographics of college students, which numbered at 20 million in 2013.
