Why would Rescued Chilean Miners Urge Fight Against Abortion?

Last week they traveled together with most of the other rescued miners on a pilgrimage on the 5th anniversary of their rescue to meet with Pope Francis.

On Thursday LifeSiteNews spoke with Urzua, who was the shift foreman on the fateful day of the mine collapse, and Aguilar, with both expressing their concern about recent efforts to legalize abortion in their native land, which remains one of the most pro-life nations in the world.

Urzua said meeting Pope Francis "was a great honor... He congratulated us on (our) courage and faith... He blessed us."
