"We are killing babies all over the place. I've spent my entire career trying to preserve life... operating all night long sometimes on premature babies... There is no way you're going to convince me that they're not important, that they're just a mass of cells." -Dr. Ben Carson

Breitbart.com has posted a video clip of GOP presidential candidate, and retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson's recent visit to "The View," on ABC.

"The View" host, Whoopi Goldberg asked Dr. Carson, "You sort of feel that there's not a war on women, but there may be a war on what's inside of women, is that accurate?"

Carson was emphatic in his response, "Yeah, the babies! We are killing babies all over the place. I've spent my entire career trying to preserve life and give people quality of life, even operating on babies in the womb—operating all night long sometimes on premature babies. And I get to meet those people when they're adults, and productive adults. There is no way you're going to convince me that they're not important, that they're just a mass of cells."

Goldberg continued to drill him on the subject questioning whether he had met with women who "have to make these horrendous decisions... of whether or not they can bring a child into the world," asking if he was "empathetic to them?"

Carson replied, "I'm very empathetic... What I have said is that this is a job for us in the private sector. What we need to do is make sure that we provide adequate day-care centers for these mothers so that they can get their GED..."

The rapid-fire questions continued, and Carson seemed unfazed, calmly stating his position on birth control, and Obamacare.

Goldberg informed the audience as Dr. Carson's time was over that each one would be receiving a copy of his new book, "A More Perfect Union."
