At the event, which was hosted by Foreign Service Fellowship International as well as the Christian Embassy, United Nations, Palau spoke about the importance of legacy and inspiring one another to live purposeful, productive and impactful lives of moral character, integrity and conviction. The opening prayer was given by H.E. Mrs. Joy Ogwu, permanent representative of Nigeria.

The permanent representatives to the United Nations in attendance represented a variety of faiths as well as every continent.

"It was so fitting to present the 'good news' message to the UN Ambassadors from all over the world, right here in New York City," said Palau. "New York is perhaps the most diverse city in the world. It is why, this July, we will share the same good news message with tens of thousands of individuals on the Great Lawn of Central Park with NY CityFest."

According to event organizers, Palau's speech was well received, with several ambassadors stating it was "one of the best events they ever attended" at the prestigious United Nations.

As a thank you, organizers distributed copies of Palau's recent book, "Out of the Desert: Into the Life God Fully Intended." Palau also received many requests for Bibles in the ambassadors' national languages.

The luncheon is one of many events leading up to NY City Fest with Luis Palau, a massive free festival to be held at Central Park's Great Lawn on Saturday, July 11, 2015. It will feature performances by national recording artists such as Grammy-winning singer Mandisa, Christian hip hop artist Toby Mac, Latin Grammy-winner Marcos Witt, Gospel music artist Bishop Hezekiah Walker as well as celebrity guest speakers including NY Yankees' Mariano Rivera and television host Myrka Dellanos.
