"I'm standing here in Washington, DC and the difference is stark: America's founding document promises 'life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.' The Iranian founding document pledges: 'death, tyranny and the pursuit of jihad.'"

Bibi's strong argument against a deal with the Iranian regime was interrupted with rousing applause about 40 times, including standing ovations.

The Prime Minister began by noting some of the lesser known ways President Obama has reached out to help the State of Israel, including during the fires, and during Operation Iron Dome as Israel defended itself against Hamas terrorists.

"Some of what the president has done for Israel might never be known... but I know it, and I will always be grateful to President Obama for that support."

He also highlighted the enduring bond between Israel and America.

"The remarkable alliance between Israel and the US has always been above politics, and must remain above politics," Netanyahu said.

Bibi went on to warn that the current deal being pushed by the Obama administration is one that could lead to a nuclear arms race in the "most dangerous part of the world"—the Middle East; as other countries would want to defend themselves against Iran's aggression. (Screengrab via Fox News)

"This deal doesn't block Iran's path to nuclear weapons, it paves the path... This deal won't be a farewell to arms–it will be a farewell to arms control," noted Bibi.

Pointing out the contrast between America's objectives and those of Iran, Bibi said, "I'm standing here in Washington, DC and the difference is stark: America's founding document promises 'life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.' The Iranian founding document pledges: 'death, tyranny and the pursuit of jihad.'"

Bibi also pointed out that "even if Israel has to stand alone, Israel will stand. But I know that Israel does not stand alone; America stands with Israel... may Israel and America always stand together...

"Facing me right up there in the gallery, overlooking all of us in this (inaudible) chamber is the image of Moses. Moses led our people from slavery to the gates of the Promised Land.

"And before the people of Israel entered the land of Israel, Moses gave us a message that has steeled our resolve for thousands of years. I leave you with his message today, (SPEAKING IN HEBREW), "Be strong and resolute, neither fear nor dread them." (Screengrab via Fox News)

The great controversy surrounding Netanyahu's speech made it the "most anticipated address in years, and perhaps the most important oration on geopolitical affairs since Ronald Reagan's speech at the Berlin Wall in 1987," according to Breitbart.
