The original count numbered about 90 to 150 men, women and even children who were kidnapped by ISIS, however, a monitoring group reported on Thursday that the number of hostages held was actually closer to 220 Christians.

The captured men have reportedly been separated from the women and children, and the fate of all of them is in question.

Last week, ISIS released a video depicting the beheading of 21 Egyptian Christians in Libya; the same is feared for the latest group of hostages, although some have speculated they may try to use them to trade for captured ISIS members.

"ISIS now controls 10 Christian villages," explained observatory head Rami Abdulrahman in the Reuters report. "They have taken the people they kidnapped away from the villages and into their territory."

Please pray for the rescue of these fellow Christians being held by these Islamic terrorists.
