The procedure was apparently a success as Ginsberg was said to "resting comfortably" in her room at the MedStar Heart & Vascular Institute in Washington, DC, and was expected to be discharged in about 48 hours.
The 81-year-old High Court Justice had been doing routine exercise on Tuesday night when she began to experience some discomfort and was taken to the hospital.
"I do a variety of weight-lifting, elliptical glider, stretching exercises, push-ups," Ginsburg said. "And I do the Canadian Air Force exercises almost every day."
