"Pistol-Packing Pastor" Nabs Alleged Package Thief

According to a KTRK report, dozens of packages were being stolen off of front porches, and Pastor Benny Holmes had had enough.

"He was determined in his mind that he would sit here, however long it took [to find the perpetrator]," said Pastor Holmes' wife, Pat.

On September 12th, he caught the alleged thief.

According to the report, Ferguson said to Holmes, "I'm looking for my dog."

He said, "You found your dog—bow wow."

Pastor Benny Holmes held the woman at gunpoint until police arrived. Investigators believe she is the same woman caught on surveillance video taking packages from the pastor's porch two other times, earlier this year.

Police reportedly retrieved "quite a few packages" from Ferguson's house, said Holmes in the report.
