Carman Tells Fans, "I'm Cancer Free!"

According to a recent story on CBN News, he shared the news on his Facebook page, telling friends and fans that it appears the rare form of cancer he was diagnosed with last year, Multiple Myeloma, is now gone.

"They took tests [and there will be more] P.E.T., MRI, bone biopsies, etc., and could find NO trace of cancer. That's amazing," he said in his post. "We're talking about drilling into your bone to search for a cancer cell and coming up empty. And I can feel the difference too."

Carman also thanked his fans for their support and prayers, saying, "You all have been the best friends, brothers, sisters and prayer warriors I could ever hope for in this life."

Carman had announced his diagnosis early in 2013. Late in January of this year, a bout of sickness prompted him to post that he was "really worried" about his health.

And now, the iconic Christian performer is back with a vengeance and has already launched into a grueling concert tour.

Carman said in a message to friends and partners, "I just faced the biggest battle of my life, and now I'm ready to do as I promised and stand on 100 stages and once again be ‘LIVE Across America!' In 1976 I went to a Christian concert and heard the gospel set to music and received Christ.

"Since that time I've lead over 1 million people to Christ. But the work is not over. God now wants to add new dimensions of wholeness and healing to the concerts. Touring is very expensive but necessary to bring the gospel where it's needed the most.

"I believe there are other Carman's out there who are battling life threatening diseases, life tragedies, reversals and who are waiting to find Jesus and use their talents for the Lord. Maybe it's your child, your friend, or maybe even you."
