Prayer Alert: Tel Aviv and Jerusalem Attacked by Hamas, but Iron Dome Intercepts Rockets over Cities

The IDF launched Operation Protective Edge in the early hours of Tuesday morning in order to quell the ongoing barrage of rocket fire from the Gaza Strip.

There were no injuries reported, as the Iron Dome battery intercepted a number of rockets in the terrorist attack.

As the code red sirens sounded in central Israel, public bomb shelters were opened throughout Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

The attack was the "largest salvo of long-range fire from Gaza," according to the Jerusalem Post report.

During the rocket onslaught, five Hamas terrorists tried to infiltrate the country but were met by the IDF, all five were killed.
