"There are lessons from the past that we can learn from, the dangers of ignorance of this Book. We need to know it, and if we don't know it, our future is going to be very scary." –Steve Green

While it may seem like a long shot considering all the hostility toward the Bible in the last couple decades, these courses would be elective, not compulsory.

One group of public schools—the Mustang school district in Oklahoma City—has already signed on to include the Bible course in the electives offered in the fall.

Green is concerned for the country citing its illiteracy concerning the Bible.

The Hobby Lobby president remarked that the "nation is in danger because of its ignorance of what God has taught.

"There are lessons from the past that we can learn from, the dangers of ignorance of this Book," Green added, according to CBN News. "We need to know it, and if we don't know it, our future is going to be very scary."
