Just Exposed: Aborted, Miscarried Babies "incinerated" and Used as Fuel to Heat Hospitals in UK

The practice has now been banned as of Sunday night by the Department of Health—Health Minister Dr. Dan Poulter called it "totally unacceptable."

(United Kingdom)—An investigation in the UK found that at least 15,500 pre-born babies who had either been aborted or miscarried had been incinerated by some of the country’s hospitals as "clinical waste," unbeknownst to their mothers.

Some of the facilities even used the fetal remains to generate heat in "waste-to-energy" programs.

The investigation revealed that 27 NHS trusts had engaged in the practice "over the last two years alone," according to the Telegraph UK report.

Department of Health minister Dr. Dan Poulter, last night, said, "This practice is totally unacceptable."

"While the vast majority of hospitals are acting in the appropriate way, that must be the case for all hospitals and the Human Tissue Authority has now been asked to ensure that it acts on this issue without delay," Poulter added.
