It's all about putting faith first, said Sadie in a recent Fox411 News report. Explaining how "Duck Dynasty" wasn't started for anyone to gain fame, but rather to "get the message of God out there," she said, "It just takes one person to take a stance and begin doing something different. We think [the show] has done a good job of getting out God's message."

Sadie was also quoted as saying she and her family are not immune to the temptations of fame and said they had a family dinner before the show started and came to the agreement that "if at any time in this journey God is not first, then we have to put the show away. If we start to think of ourselves too highly [we need to] remember that we were happy before the show and we will be happy after the show."

They even reportedly came up with a "secret" phrase they would use if anyone in their family "let fame get into their heads."
