Buried in an Avalanche, Survivor Recalls Prayer, Tells Miracle Story

(Powell, WY)—Assembly of God (AG) News has released an amazing story of survival centered around two brothers who were caught up in an avalanche on February 8. One of them was buried and has miraculously lived to tell his story. (Photo via AG News)

"I was really calm and really peaceful—I honestly never felt so close to God," Matt says. "I was not frightened or scared. I tried to get out and with every bit of strength I had, I tried to wiggle as much as I could..., but I could only move one arm, everything else was frozen tight… Then the Lord spoke to me and reminded me of the prophecy…"

Her doctor had told her she was beginning to miscarry him. After church that day, as she was bleeding, Becky said her husband brought over some kids from their youth group who prayed over her. One of the kids prophesied, "You're not going to lose that baby because God's going to do great things with him."

Becky noted that she could sense an anointing on the prayer and sure enough, her bleeding stopped.

Noted the AG report, "For all his life, Matt has known about this prophecy and has lived in it with expectation. And now, when faced with impossible odds, he firmly, calmly held to God's promise."
