Ancient Spear Tips Discovered in Ethiopia "confound" Evolutionists—Point to Modern Humans

The scientific community is abuzz after the recent discovery—reported in the November edition of the journal PLOS ONE—of man-made javelin tips near Lake Ziway in central Ethiopia, within a geologic layer which evolutionists say supposedly "predates humans by 80,000 years."

The archaeological find really poses a problem for those who accept the theory of evolution as "fact" since the spear tips were not only shaped by man, but they "showed clear signs of use" as projectiles that were likely "thrown at high velocities"—according to the Christian News Network (CNNet) report.

The "high velocity" wear would only point to the craft and use of modern man, notes the article.

Yonatan Sahle—member of the discovery team—told the National Geographic (Nat Geo) that the tips featured evidence of "throwing impact, not thrusting," and "certain behavioral traits that are considered complex and mostly only the domains of anatomically modern humans."

According to CNNet, the Nat Geo highlighted a similar find last year which was quoted by one paleoanthropologist as "finding an iPod in a Roman Empire site."

Brian Thomas, science writer for the Institute for Creation Research, told CNNet—regarding the spear discoveries, "In the past secular scientists have 'solved' problems like these by 're-dating' the artifacts. Secularists may soon [claim] that these spears in Africa were only 200,000 years old after all."

"Fortunately," added Thomas after presenting the first two interpretations with which evolutionists are wrestling in relation to the find, "a third interpretation is available to scientists not locked into secular history.
