Roy Ortiz was trapped in his water-filled car, only able to breath in a tiny air pocket in the back seat.

How did he survive the deadly situation? By the grace of God.

As reported in the Broomfield Enterprise, the following day Ortiz described his harrowing ordeal, saying he had to position his head in a small air bubble near the back of his car in order to breath.

"Everywhere I moved," he recalled, "there was water. Two hours was an eternity."

When rescuers were finally able to reach Ortiz, two hours later, they were doubtful he would be alive, but upon hearing his cries for help, they reportedly broke his car window, passed him a life jacket, and got him to safety.

John Cook, one of the men on the team who rescued Ortiz, was quoted as saying he believed it was a miracle that they found Ortiz alive after such a long time.
