U.S. House Votes to Protect Homeschool Military Enlistees

The amendment ensures that homeschool graduates wishing to enlist in the armed forces are not required to score higher on the military's initial enlistment test than public or private school graduates.

Homeschool defenseDue to a huge response from homeschool supporters, the Kline-Hunter-Andrews-Polis amendment was unanimously added to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

The amendment ensures that homeschool graduates wishing to enlist in the armed forces are not required to score higher on the military's initial enlistment test than public or private school graduates.

Supporters are encouraged to call or email their thanks to Representative John Kline (MN), who spearheaded the amendment. Duncan hunter (CA), Jared Polis (CO), and Rob Andrews (NJ) were also instrumental in the victory and deserve thanks as well.

According to the Homeschool group HSLDA, focus is now on the Senate as they move forward with their version of NDAA.
