Archbishop calls Francis a "man of extraordinary humanity, on fire with the Spirit of Christ."
(Vatican City)—Pope Francis and the new Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, met for the first time last week to pray and discuss working together to promote family values around the world.
According to an AP report on the meeting, "In his remarks to Welby, Francis said he hoped they could collaborate in promoting the sacredness of life and the stability of families founded on marriage."
Both leaders are said to be staunch conservatives when it comes to the issue of gay marriage and traditional family values.
