"I can feel Tamerlan trying to grab me. I was running, running as fast as I can and I never, I never look back. I don't think I'm a hero…I was just trying to save myself…and I think the police…they are the heroes."

Danny was reportedly forced to pick up the other Bombing suspect brother, Dzhokhar who joined Tamerlan, who told Danny, "This is like something you see in a movie, isn't it? If you cooperate, I won't kill you."

Danny sees the fact that he was Chinese and his car was low on gas as being part of the reason he was able to get away after they had stopped to pick up fuel, but he also noted, "God was with me."

"I was counting [to myself]… 'one, two, three, four—I just do it, and I did it'," recalled Danny, while using an altered voice and concealed identity to describe for CBS News just how he got away from the two bombing suspects.
