Poll Reveals 55% of Americans Don't Know Planned Parenthood does Abortions—Let Alone How Many

According to a recent poll more than half of US citizens don't know that Planned Parenthood does abortions, says a LifeNews report.

The survey reportedly found that the majority (63%) of people had a "favorable impression" of the largest abortion business in the country; at the same time, 55% did not even know that abortions were done by PP.

David N. O'Steen Ph.D., the National Right to Life Executive Director noted that, "The polling reflects the results of Planned Parenthood's campaign to publicly minimize and obfuscate its involvement with abortion."

Those figures may be surprising enough, however, the poll also discovered that 50% of respondents who said they were "pro-life" still didn't know that Planned Parenthood performs abortions, and those who did know were unaware of the overwhelming number of abortions PP does annually—over 300,000.

Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life said, "The American people have been duped into thinking that Planned Parenthood is nothing more than a 'mainstream health care provider,' when in reality, Planned Parenthood clinics are performing upwards of 27% of all abortions performed in the United States annually. Regardless of what they say, for Planned Parenthood, abortion is big business."
