"Saeed's imprisonment is a clear violation of the rule of law and of his fundamental right to exercise his religion of choice ‘in community with others and in public or private' ‘in worship, observance, practice and teaching', as guaranteed by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the ICCPR." -Dr. Grégor Puppinck, Director General of ECLJ

Below is an update from Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), the group that is working to see Pastor Saeed set free.

Last week and this one as well, an ACLJ team is petitioning the United Nations in Geneva, on behalf of the persecuted pastor.

I—along with ACLJ Executive Director Jordan Sekulow—will be testifying before the U.S. House of Representatives, shining the bright light of truth on Iran's horrific treatment of Pastor Saeed Abedini, a U.S. citizen imprisoned in Iran for his Christian faith.

And today our legal team is once again in Geneva, attending U.N. meetings on behalf of Pastor Saeed.

This is an historic moment. This is the moment the world truly becomes aware of Christian persecution in Muslim lands.
