(Chicago, IL)—THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS, the provocative and funny theatrical adaptation of the C.S. Lewis novel about spiritual warfare from a demon's point of view, has announced new dates for its National Tour. The National Tour of THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS kicked off after a hit nine-month run at the Westside Theatre in New York City. Prior to that, THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS was a sold out hit in Chicago and Washington DC where it ran for a combined eight months.

Presented by Fellowship for the Performing Arts, THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS is produced and directed by award-winning actor Max McLean who created the role in New York. McLean and actor Brent Harris share the role of "Screwtape" on the tour.

Now in its third smash year, THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS has delighted capacity audiences in over 50 major cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Atlanta and Seattle. Over 300,000 have seen this production on tour, which continues to attract a national following.

Upcoming 2013 dates include a March 9 performance at Moran Performing Arts center in Jacksonville, FL; a March 23 return to Kingsbury Hall in Salt Lake City; April 6 at the Lied Center for Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, NE; April 10 at Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto, CA; an April 13 return to the Alex Theatre in Glendale, CA; an April 27 return to Pikes Peak Center in Colorado Springs; a May 4 return to Sacramento's Civic Center Theater; a May 10 and 11 return to the Pantages Theatre in Minneapolis; a June 1 return to Clowes Memorial Hall at Butler University in Indianapolis; a return to Portland at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on June 14 and 15 and a June 21 through 23 return to the Lescher Arts Center in Walnut Creek, CA.

Associated Press calls THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS "Devilishly funny!" The Chicago Tribune describes THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS as "Very smart...richly rewarding...exuberant theatricality!"
