As if that weren't enough for the 22-year-old working Christian, she faces spinal fusion surgery in the future and is also currently undergoing radiation treatment for thyroid cancer. (Photo: CNNW)

Her faith is both sustaining and motivating her. She admits to the pain and difficulty of cancer, yet says, "I have the light of Christ, knowing that He is going to attack the enemy for me. He's on the other side, with thumbs up."

According to a report in Christian News Northwest, Neilan said the treatment she is undergoing now for cancer requires she is isolated, but she is looking to God for her strength and not to her own strength.
