National Prayer Committee Prays for Hollywood

(Hollywood, CA)—Fifty-eight prayer leaders will gather together to learn about Christian ministries in Los Angeles and offer prayer for the entertainment industry next week, when the National Prayer Committee partners with Hollywood Prayer Network for a "Hollywood Day" Thursday, January 31, 2013.

National Prayer Committee According to a media release from the Hollywood Prayer Network, the day will begin with a bus tour of Hollywood hotspots such as the Hollywood Sign, Pantages Theatre, Grauman's Chinese Theatre and Paramount Pictures Studios, followed by a worship service at First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood.

The committee will also listen to a panel of Christian industry professionals including DeVon Franklin, Senior Vice President of Production at Colombia Studios, Dean Batali, Executive Producer of That 70s Show, and Actress Nancy Stafford from Matlock. After the panel, the prayer leaders will view a screening of the film 42, followed by a discussion led by Professor Robert Johnston of Fuller Theological Seminary.

Covell hopes that committee members will leave Los Angeles with a better sense of how to pray specifically for Hollywood as "the world's most influential mission field."

Hollywood Prayer Network is a Christian nonprofit ministry for the purpose of praying for the people, projects and powerful influence of the entertainment industry.
