"It's a constant battle. It's non-stop. That's why it's always good to have people around you who hold you accountable." -Tim Tebow
(Cortland, NY)—Tim Tebow has revealed he has an accountability partner.
Non-Christians may not understand the term, but many Christians are familiar with the practice of partnering with a trusted friend to, well, have a fellow human being to be accountable to, in addition to being accountable to God.
In Tebow's case, according to a CBS report, the partner is a personal friend of Tebow's, whom he wishes to remain anonymous. (Photo credit: Jeff Zelevansky/Getty Images)
"He's someone I pray with," Tebow told the Associated Press. "He'll ask me: 'Hey did you get in the Word today? Were you praying today?' I have him because I need someone who is always investing in me, you know?"
Considering the positive feedback Tebow's been getting so far from Jets' team members, being accountable is paying off.
Defensive lineman Mike DeVito said this of Tebow: "He's a great guy and really just what you expect. I have a lot of respect for him. I've gotten to know him and he definitely walks the walk."
