John Prescott MP, the British Deputy Prime Minister, took time out from dealing with the London terrorist attacks this week to celebrate his younger brother Adrian's commissioning as a Church Army evangelist.

The service was held at Church Army's Wilson Carlile College of Evangelism Sheffield. The Deputy Prime Minister said he was proud of Adrian and that he wanted to be there for his commissioning.

"The service was very moving and quite unlike any other church service that I have attended before," added Prescott. "I was impressed by the spirit and commitment of everyone here today- they showed me just how people of faith can make a real difference to communities. As a cabinet minister charged with the responsibility of investing millions of pounds into our communities I am delighted to see that Church Army is focused in making a difference where it counts- out in the real world with real people."
