'Cheers' Star Kirstie Alley Says She's Voting for Trump's Re-Election: 'He's Not a Politician'

[Faithwire.com] Kirstie Alley, known for her roles in "Cheers" and "Star Trek," stepped out of line with most of her Hollywood peers when she announced Saturday she's voting for President Donald Trump's re-election. (Screengrab image: via 'Hannity' /FNC)

Her main motivation in supporting the incumbent president is because he's "not a politician," she said, adding she voted for Trump four years ago.

"He gets things done quickly and he will turn the economy around quickly," she reasoned. "There you have it, folks, there you have it."

Alley's Saturday post marks the first time she has stated openly she voted for Trump in 2016 and would do so again next month, though she has frequently telegraphed her political affiliations, often criticizing progressives. In a recent tweet, the actor called out CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins, who criticized the president in early October for removing his mask upon returning to the White House after fighting a COVID-19 infection at Walter Reed Medical Center...
