"God has chosen the place, where they say there is no hope, to be a staging ground for a great communal healing and His house of prayer for all nations. We are calling the nation to a 24-hour solemn assembly, daring to believe that Detroit's desperation can produce prayer that can change a nation." -Lou Engle

The Call Detroit(Detroit, MI)—TheCall solemn assemblies have aired exclusively on GOD TV from cities across the USA for several years. Now, for the first time, the global network will cover TheCall LIVE for 24 hours, and this time from Ford Field stadium in Detroit, Michigan.

The full 24-hour event will be available to Internet viewers at www.god.tv/liveevents from 6pm (EST) this Friday, November 11 through 6pm on Saturday 12. TheCall Detroit will also feature extensively on the GOD Channel this weekend, from 8:30pm (EST) on Friday, until 7am the following morning. It will resume from 10am through 6pm on Saturday 12 and a three-hour highlights program will be broadcast on Sunday 13 at 2pm.

Hosted by Lou Engle with many other influential prayer leaders, including those from churches in 'Motor City,' TheCall, Detroit, will focus on restoring hope in the face of racial tension, economic collapse and moral degradation. Tens of thousands of young people are expected to gather at the 70,000-seat stadium to fast and pray for America, repent and seek God's will for the nation.

The focus of TheCall is on Joel 2:15, which says: "Blow the trumpet in Zion! Consecrate a fast! Call a sacred assembly." TheCall Detroit therefore, is not a time of celebration, but a time of repentance, worship and intercession and the many musicians and speakers participating in the gathering are deliberately not being publicized as this meeting is not about personalities, but all about earnestly seeking God.

"Believers from all across America will gather to fast, pray and cry out to God in this city that has become a microcosm of our national crisis - economic collapse, racial tension, and the shedding of innocent blood of our children in the streets and of our unborn," said Lou Engle, who is the founder of TheCall. "God has chosen the place, where they say there is no hope, to be a staging ground for a great communal healing and His house of prayer for all nations. We are calling the nation to a 24-hour solemn assembly, daring to believe that Detroit's desperation can produce prayer that can change a nation."

TheCall solemn assemblies are divinely initiated, multi-racial, multi-generational, and cross-denominational gatherings for corporate prayer and fasting. Participating Christian leaders believe that America is in desperate need of the mercy of God and spiritual awakening. TheCall is committed to mobilizing people from all across the nation to gather together to petition God for His undeserved mercy upon the USA.

"It is only through prayer and fasting that we will see revival come to America and the nations," said GOD TV's Co-founder and Director of Television, Wendy Alec. "This weekend is a time for people everywhere to come together through the power of global television to consecrate themselves and cry out to the Lord to see spiritual breakthrough come to the USA as well as into their own lives and communities."

The GOD Channel can be viewed across the USA on channel 365 of DIRECTV, on cable stations in some cities and via the Internet at www.god.tv.
